I hope you all enjoyed the movie on Sunday. We will finish the movie after we get back from the retreat. I'd like to invite everyone to post a comment about the movie - good or bad.

Below is the last two stanza from the poem "September 1st, 1939" by W.H. Auden - he wrote this poem when he heard of Germany's invasion of Poland heralding the start of WWII. Do you recognize some of the lines from the movie?

WHO: Volunteers to bake cookies and cupcakes(?)

We need the following:
1. Recipes - something simple and tested.
2. Equipments - cookie sheets, mixing tools, cookie cutters.
3. Any ingredients you want to donate - flour, sugar (white and brown), butter, chocolata!

A big thank you to all those who came out on Saturday.
It was freezing cold in the morning and really hard to wake up.
But once we started working, the sun was shining beautifully and the air smelled of autumn.
We all had a great time being with friends in the awesome outdoors surrounded by trees and more trees.
And the trees shed leaves, and more leaves and yet more leaves.
We raked enough leaves to make a small hilll but as we were leaving, they were still falling and falling, and falling.....
